NTK MG0036 Mass Air Flow Sensor

NTK Mass Air Flow Sensor MG0036

The NTK MG0036 mass air flow sensor provides OE-style airflow measurement for select Audi, Volkswagen, and Porsche applications. It is built for drivers replacing a failing MAF sensor on vehicles such as the Audi A4, Volkswagen Jetta, and Porsche Cayenne.

Key Features

• NTK Mass Air Flow Sensor line for emission control and engine management applications
• OE-focused design backed by NTK technical sensor experience
• Tested under thermal shock, vibration, and OBD verification conditions
• Manufactured to meet or exceed OE specifications
• Direct replacement for select import and domestic vehicle applications

Detailed Description

NTK MG0036 is part of NTK’s technical sensor lineup, supported by NGK’s long automotive history and OE application knowledge. As a mass air flow sensor, it measures incoming air so the engine control system can calculate fuel delivery and maintain proper drivability. This part is used on a wide range of vehicles, including 2000-2006 Audi A4, 2001-2006 Audi TT, 2001-2012 Volkswagen Jetta, and 2003-2006 Porsche Cayenne. This part cross-references Bosch (e.g., 0280218060, 0280218063) for the same application.

What It Helps Address

• Rough idle caused by inaccurate airflow readings
• Hesitation or poor throttle response
• Check engine light related to air metering faults
• Reduced fuel economy from incorrect fuel calculation
• Driveability issues tied to a contaminated or failing MAF sensor

Installation Notes and Tips

Confirm the part number and vehicle application before installation. For body fitment, this sensor is listed for 2001-2012 Volkswagen Jetta, 2007-2010 Audi Q7, 2001-2010 Volkswagen Beetle, 2004-2009 Volkswagen Touareg, and other listed Audi, Volkswagen, and Porsche models. Inspect the intake tract, air filter, and wiring connector during replacement to avoid repeat airflow faults. Clear diagnostic trouble codes after installation and verify idle quality and scan data.

Quality Assurance

NTK sensors are produced using OE-based engineering and validated through thermal shock, vibration, and OBD testing to support consistent performance in service.
