Product Details

Nugeon 99P17397B is a rear right disc brake caliper engineered for GM full-size trucks and SUVs that use the listed rear brake configuration. The TechShield 360 (tm) product line focuses on corrosion resistance and service-ready replacement components, making this caliper a practical choice for brake repairs on Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, and Cadillac Escalade platforms. The aluminum housing, phenolic piston, and included bracket support a direct replacement setup for the specified applications.

This part cross-references Monroe Shocks & Struts (e.g., 172286, 182286) for the same application.

What It Helps Fix

• Rear brake drag caused by a sticking caliper piston
• Uneven rear braking on the right side
• Brake fluid seepage at the caliper or bleeder area
• Corrosion-related caliper seizure on GM trucks and SUVs
• Noise or poor pad movement related to worn caliper hardware

Installation Notes and Tips

Verify rear right fitment against the vehicle’s brake configuration before installation. This caliper uses a banjo bolt inlet and M10-1.0 thread sizing, so confirm the brake hose connection and bleeder orientation during service. Transfer or replace pads as needed, and bleed the brake system after installation to remove air from the hydraulic circuit. For 2019 Silverado 1500 LD and Sierra 1500 Limited applications, confirm the manual parking brake configuration listed in the fitment notes.
