Detailed Description

Use the Opparts ECOGARD XA4278 when replacing a worn engine air filter on vehicles such as the Nissan Maxima, Nissan Murano, and Nissan Pathfinder. This filter is listed across many model years, including 2024 Nissan Murano, 2023-2024 Nissan Maxima, 2013-2020 Nissan Pathfinder, and 1993-2018 Nissan Altima, making it a practical OE-style service part for broad import coverage. This part number, XA4278, is also cross-referenced under common aftermarket numbers such as Wix 46116 and Bosch 66116 for the same application.

ECOGARD’s product line focuses on fitment accuracy and trouble-free installation, helping ensure the filter seats correctly in the air box and supports normal engine intake service. Compatible vehicle coverage also includes 2017-2020 INFINITI QX60, 2003-2007 INFINITI G35, 2004-2008 Subaru Forester, and 2000-2004 Nissan Xterra.

What It Helps Address

• Restricted airflow from a dirty or clogged engine air filter
• Routine maintenance replacement for Nissan Maxima and Nissan Murano service intervals
• Air intake service on INFINITI QX60, Pathfinder, and Altima applications
• Filter fitment issues caused by an incorrect replacement part
• Reduced service efficiency when the existing filter is overdue for replacement

Installation Notes and Tips

Verify the vehicle year, make, model, and engine air box configuration before installation. Fitment varies by model year and, on some applications, by emissions or production date notes such as California emissions or build-date cutoffs. Confirm the existing filter dimensions and housing style against the catalog listing for your specific vehicle.

Quality Assurance

ECOGARD air filters are installation tested to confirm correct fit, form, and function before release. That validation helps support consistent replacement quality for everyday maintenance on Nissan, INFINITI, Subaru, and other listed applications.
