Product Details

Phillips X-tremeVision 9004XVB2 is intended for drivers replacing a worn or dim 9004 headlight bulb in vehicles such as Dodge Ram 1500, Dodge Ram 2500, Dodge Ram 3500, Nissan Frontier, Nissan Xterra, Pontiac Montana, and Volkswagen EuroVan applications. The X-tremeVision - Twin Blister Pack product line is positioned for drivers who want improved road illumination without changing the vehicle’s original bulb type or beam function. This part cross-references Philips 9004NHP/BP2 and Philips 9004NHX/BP2 for the same application.

Common Uses

• Restoring dim or aging headlight output
• Replacing a burned-out 9004 halogen bulb
• Improving nighttime visibility on low-beam driving
• Maintaining legal headlamp operation on street-driven vehicles
• Servicing vehicles with combined high beam and low beam 9004 headlamps

Installation Notes and Tips

Verify the vehicle uses a 9004 bulb with a P29T base before installation. Confirm whether the headlamp system uses high beam and low beam in the same bulb position, and match the replacement to the original bulb specification. Handle the bulb carefully during installation and avoid touching the glass surface with bare hands.

For fitment examples, this bulb fits 1999-2001 Dodge Ram 1500, high beam and low beam; fits 2000-2001 Nissan Xterra, high beam and low beam; and fits 1996-2002 Mercedes-Benz SL500, high beam and low beam for vehicles with halogen capsule headlights.

Quality Assurance

Phillips designs the X-tremeVision line as a DOT approved, street legal halogen lighting solution for approved 9004 applications. The bulb construction, voltage rating, and beam compatibility support direct replacement use in vehicles that specify this format.
