Product Details

The Premium Guard Standard Life line focuses on practical filtration for daily-use engines, and PG111 follows that approach with a conventional spin-on format and balanced flow characteristics. Its enhanced cellulose media is paired with an anti-drain back valve to help maintain oil availability at startup, while the bypass relief valve supports oil circulation if the filter becomes restricted. This part number is commonly referenced for applications such as Chevrolet Malibu, Pontiac Grand Prix, and GMC Savana 1500, making it a useful OE-style replacement choice for many GM platforms.

This part cross-references Wix 51040 and K&N HP-1001 for the same application.

What It Helps Address

• Oil contamination from normal engine wear
• Dry-start conditions after the vehicle sits
• Restricted oil flow caused by a loaded filter
• Routine maintenance intervals on high-mileage engines
• Replacement needs for GM and import vehicles with M18x1.5-6H filter threads

Installation Notes and Tips

Verify the filter thread size, gasket dimensions, and overall height before installation. For body fitment, this filter is listed for vehicles such as 2005-2009 Buick LaCrosse, 2000-2005 Chevrolet Impala, 2002-2013 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, 2002-2013 GMC Sierra 1500, and 2004-2018 Chevrolet Aveo.
