Extended Life Product Line

Pronto Extended Life filters are built for vehicles that need longer-service oil filtration without changing the basic spin-on format. The PO2222EX follows that approach with synthetic blend media and a silicone gasket, making it a practical choice for routine maintenance on applications such as Jeep Grand Cherokee, Ram 1500, and Dodge Charger models that use the specified thread and filter dimensions.

Detailed Description

PO2222EX is an engine oil filter for extended-life service intervals where consistent filtration and sealing matter. The synthetic blend media is paired with an anti-drain back valve to help keep oil in the filter during shutdown, which supports quicker oil pressure recovery at startup. The silicone gasket and 0.21 in gasket thickness help maintain a secure seal, while the 20 bypass relief valve setting provides controlled oil flow if the media becomes restricted. This part cross-references Premium Guard PG2222EX and K&N HP-1017 for the same application.

Compatible With 2026-2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee, N/A; 2026-2013 Ram 1500, N/A; 2023-2017 Dodge Charger, N/A; 2022-2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD, N/A; and 2015-2007 GMC Sierra 1500, N/A. It also appears in fitment for Dodge Durango, Jeep Wrangler, Ram 2500, Ram 3500, Chevrolet Camaro, and Chevrolet Corvette applications listed in the vehicle data.

Common Uses

• Replacing a worn or restricted engine oil filter
• Restoring proper oil filtration during scheduled maintenance
• Addressing oil drain-back concerns after engine shutdown
• Supporting extended-life oil service intervals
• Maintaining filtration on vehicles with M22x1.5P filter threads

Installation Notes and Tips

Verify the thread size, gasket dimensions, and filter clearance before installation. Match the filter to the vehicle’s listed application and confirm the engine uses a spin-on oil filter with M22x1.5P threads. Pre-lubricate the gasket with clean engine oil, tighten to the vehicle manufacturer’s service specification, and check for leaks after startup. For fitment-specific searches, PO2222EX is commonly referenced for Jeep Grand Cherokee oil filter, Ram 1500 oil filter, and Dodge Charger oil filter applications.

Quality Assurance

Built with synthetic blend media, a silicone gasket, and an anti-drain back valve, the Pronto PO2222EX is specified for extended-life service applications across a broad vehicle range. Its listed burst pressure and bypass setting provide additional technical reference points for maintenance planning and parts verification.
