Detailed Description

The R1 Concepts 2600-2486-00 is part of the R1 Euro Ceramic Pads line and is cataloged as a rear disc brake pad set. Fitment covers a range of BMW and Mini models, including the BMW X1, BMW X2, BMW 228i Gran Coupe, BMW 228i xDrive Gran Coupe, BMW i3, BMW i3s, BMW 220i, and Mini Cooper, Cooper Clubman, and Cooper Countryman. The fitment notes identify the required wear sensor part number for each application, which is important when matching the correct rear brake service parts.

This part cross-references Monroe Shocks & Struts (e.g., 172286, 182286) for the same application.

What It Is Used For

Replacing worn rear brake pads on covered BMW and Mini vehicles
Restoring braking response when pad material is near service limits
Addressing brake noise caused by worn friction material
Correcting uneven rear brake wear on supported applications
Matching the required rear sensor specification during brake service

Installation Notes and Tips

Verify the vehicle’s rear sensor requirement before installation. Fitment notes call for BPS-31076 on most applications and BPS-31071 on BMW i3 and i3s models. Confirm the vehicle year, model, and rear brake configuration against the fitment table before ordering. Professional installation is recommended for proper brake system service.
