Product Details

The SKP New Disc Brake Caliper, part number SK18B5044, is a direct-fit replacement for select vehicles from 2007 through 2018. It covers front left and front right positions depending on the exact year, make, and model, including Jeep Wrangler JK, Jeep Wrangler, Dodge Nitro, Dodge Grand Caravan, Chrysler Town & Country, Ram C/V, Volkswagen Routan, Jeep Liberty, and Dodge Journey. This part number is also referenced as SK18B5044 in catalog listings for brake hydraulic repair.

Use this caliper when servicing worn, sticking, or leaking front brake hardware on supported applications. The fitment data includes configurations without heavy-duty brakes on certain Jeep and Dodge models, so matching the original brake setup is important before ordering.

What It Helps Fix

• Brake fluid leakage from a worn caliper body or piston seal
• Uneven braking caused by a sticking front caliper
• Poor pad contact from caliper piston or slide wear
• Brake pull related to a failing left or right front caliper
• Noise or drag from a caliper that no longer retracts properly

Installation Notes and Tips

• Verify the exact position: front left or front right.
• Confirm whether your vehicle uses a phenolic piston and the correct brake package.
• Check for exclusions such as heavy-duty brake systems on listed Jeep Liberty and Dodge Nitro applications.
• Inspect pads, rotors, hoses, and mounting points during caliper replacement.
• Bleed the brake system after installation and confirm pedal feel before road use.
