The SKP SK970053 ABS wheel speed sensor is a direct-fit brake sensor for rear applications on select Chevrolet, Saturn, and Pontiac vehicles. It restores wheel speed signal input used by the ABS system to monitor wheel rotation and manage braking response.

Key Features

• Direct-fit ABS wheel speed sensor for rear left and rear right applications.
• Fits Chevrolet Captiva Sport, Chevrolet Equinox, Pontiac Torrent, and Saturn Vue applications listed below.
• Supports accurate wheel speed signal delivery for ABS system operation.
• Cross-references Dorman - OE Solutions 970-053 for the same application.
• Part number SK970053 for easy identification and ordering.

Detailed Description

SK970053 is an ABS wheel speed sensor built for rear axle fitments on the Chevrolet Captiva Sport, Chevrolet Equinox, Pontiac Torrent, and Saturn Vue. This sensor is used by the anti-lock braking system to read wheel rotation data and send that information to the control system. When the signal is inconsistent or lost, ABS warning lights and braking faults can occur. SK970053 provides a replacement option for vehicles that need a rear wheel speed sensor with the correct application match.

This part cross-references Dorman - OE Solutions (e.g., 970-053) for the same application.

What It Is Used For

• ABS warning light caused by a failed rear wheel speed sensor.
• Loss of wheel speed data to the braking control system.
• Intermittent ABS operation related to sensor signal issues.
• Brake system fault codes tied to rear sensor performance.

Installation Notes and Tips

Verify rear left or rear right position before ordering. Confirm the vehicle year, make, and model against the fitment list for Chevrolet Captiva Sport, Chevrolet Equinox, Pontiac Torrent, and Saturn Vue applications. Inspect the sensor connector and wiring path during replacement to avoid repeat signal issues.
