Stabilus Hood Lift Support for Saturn Vue
Restore controlled hood movement with this Stabilus Lift-O-Mat hood lift support, part number 3B-572215. It is engineered for the 2006-2007 Saturn Vue and uses gas-charged damping to deliver smooth opening and a gentle, controlled stop.
Built with ball socket ends, nylon end materials, and application-specific dynamic damping, this hood lift support is tuned for precise motion control. The design uses a velocity manifold in the tube wall to regulate gas flow and extension speed for consistent hood operation on the Saturn Vue.

Product Details
The Stabilus 3B-572215 hood lift support is built for direct replacement on the 2006-2007 Saturn Vue. Its gas-charged construction and application-specific damping help regulate hood lift speed and closing behavior, which is important when replacing a worn support that no longer holds the hood properly. This part cross-references Four Seasons 46144 for the same application.
Common Problems This Part Can Help Solve
- Hood drops too quickly when opened
- Hood will not stay raised without support
- Uneven or inconsistent hood lift effort
- Weak or worn gas strut performance
- Harsh hood closing or abrupt stop at the end of travel
Installation Notes and Tips
Before installation, verify the existing support length, end style, and mounting points against the vehicle. Replace supports in pairs when both sides show similar wear, and support the hood securely during removal and installation. Confirm the ball socket connections are fully seated after installation.
Quality Assurance
Stabilus Lift-O-Mat supports are engineered with OE-style motion control and dynamic damping technology used by leading automakers for refined hood operation. The 3B-572215 is built to deliver consistent extension control and a smooth, gentle stop for the Saturn Vue application.
