What It Helps Address
- Weak or failing lift support on the BMW Z4
- Hood, hatch, or panel that no longer stays open properly
- Uneven or inconsistent opening effort
- Loss of controlled motion during lift or close cycles
- Noise or reduced support from an aging gas spring
Installation Notes and Tips
Verify the compressed length, extended length, rod diameter, and socket-style end fittings against the original unit before installation. Confirm the vehicle is a 2003-2008 BMW Z4 and compare the mounting points to the existing gas spring to ensure the correct replacement. Transfer any reusable mounting clips or retainers from the original setup only if they match the application.
