Detailed Description

Standard Ignition DS-1965 is a wiper switch for Volkswagen vehicles that require a non-intermittent wiper setup. It is listed for 1995-2002 Volkswagen Cabrio, 1993-1998 Volkswagen Jetta, 1999 Volkswagen Jetta built to 12/98 without intermittent wipers, 1993-1997 Volkswagen Golf, and 1995-1997 Volkswagen Passat. If you are replacing a worn or malfunctioning Volkswagen Jetta wiper switch or sourcing a DS-1965 replacement for a Golf or Passat, this part matches the specified connector and terminal configuration.

This part cross-references 1E095351901C and S3727 for the same application.

What It Helps Fix

  • Inoperative windshield wiper switch operation
  • Intermittent or inconsistent wiper control on non-intermittent systems
  • Wiper settings that do not respond correctly at the stalk
  • Electrical connection issues at the switch terminals
  • Replacement needs for aging Volkswagen interior switch assemblies

Installation Notes and Tips

Verify the vehicle uses the non-intermittent wiper configuration before ordering. Confirm the connector style, blade terminal layout, and terminal count against the original switch, especially on 1999 Volkswagen Jetta applications built to 12/98. Match the existing harness and switch layout to the DS-1965 before installation.

Quality Assurance

Standard Ignition is an established aftermarket brand for electrical and ignition components. This DS-1965 wiper switch is cataloged to the specified Volkswagen fitments and connector requirements for accurate replacement selection.
