Detailed Description
This Sunsong power steering pressure line hose assembly is built for Acura Legend models from 1986 through 1990 and is shaped to match the original routing and connection points. Sunsong 3401670 uses high-grade steel tubing with a zinc coating to help resist rust and corrosion from humidity, road salt, water, and grime, while the CSM hose section supports long-term durability in demanding steering-system service. The assembly is pressure tested before it leaves the factory, and the design includes the PS switch port required for the listed application. This part cross-references Gates 369180 for the same application.
Common Problems This Part Addresses
- Power steering fluid leaks from a worn or damaged pressure hose
- Steering effort that increases when hose pressure is no longer maintained
- Noise or inconsistent steering assist caused by hose deterioration
- Corrosion-related failure on exposed steel tubing
- Fitment issues when replacing an aging Acura Legend pressure line
Installation Notes and Tips
Confirm the fitting types and lengths against the original hose before installation. For 1986-1990 Acura Legend service, verify the 12 mm male captive O-ring end, 14 mm male inverted flare end, and PS switch port location match the vehicle’s original configuration. Inspect adjacent seals, clamps, and steering components for wear before bleeding the system and checking for leaks after installation.
Quality Assurance
Sunsong pressure hoses are manufactured to exceed original equipment performance standards, with published pressure and tensile specifications for durability. Each hose is high-pressure tested at the factory to support trouble-free installation and operation on Acura Legend power steering repairs.
