Detailed Description

This Sunsong power steering return line hose assembly, part number 3402451, is made for vehicles that require a precise replacement return hose with the correct length, fittings, and routing profile. It is compatible with 2001-2003 Ford Escape, cooler tube; 2004 Ford Escape, cooler tube, to 10/31; 2001-2004 Mazda Tribute, cooler tube; and 2005 Mazda Tribute, cooler tube, to 10/2/5. This part cross-references Four Seasons 92211 for the same application.

The assembly uses high-grade steel tubing with zinc plating to help resist road salt, moisture, grime, and other underbody exposure. Sunsong 3402451 is intended for low-pressure return-side steering service where accurate fit and durable construction matter for restoring proper hose routing and fluid transfer.

What It Helps Address

• Leaking or cracked power steering return hose
• Corrosion on the original return line tubing
• Improper hose routing caused by a worn or damaged assembly
• Fluid seepage at the hose connection points
• Noise or steering performance issues related to low fluid level from a failing return line

Installation Notes and Tips

Verify vehicle year, make, model, and cooler tube application before ordering. This hose uses 3/8 in. ID hose ends and is built for return-side steering service, not high-pressure pump output. Inspect adjacent steering components, clamps, and mounting points during replacement to confirm the new hose routes cleanly and seals properly.

Quality Assurance

Sunsong 3402451 is manufactured to meet or exceed original equipment performance standards for return hose applications. The steel tubing is zinc electroplated to improve resistance to corrosion and rust in demanding underbody conditions.
