Detailed Description

TYC 11-6224-00 is a left tail light assembly made for specific GMC Sierra trucks from 2007-2014, with fitment varying by model year and configuration. It is listed for the GMC Sierra 1500, Sierra 2500 HD, and Sierra 3500 HD on the left side, and several applications note single rear wheels. The assembly includes bulbs and arrives as a complete unit, which makes it a direct replacement for a damaged or worn rear lamp on the driver side.

This part cross-references GMC 25958484 and Partslink GM2800208 for the same application. If you are replacing a left rear lamp on a GMC Sierra 2500 HD, Sierra 3500 HD, or Sierra 1500, verify the year, body configuration, and rear wheel setup before ordering. Part number 11-6224-00 is also useful when matching the opposite side reference 11-6223-00.

Common Repair Uses

• Broken or cracked left rear tail lamp lens
• Dim, failed, or missing rear lighting on the driver side
• Water intrusion or housing damage in the tail light assembly
• Restoring rear signal, brake, and running light function
• Replacing a faded or discolored exterior lamp on a GMC Sierra

Installation Notes and Tips

Confirm the vehicle year, model, and left-side fitment before installation. This assembly is listed for select GMC Sierra 1500, Sierra 2500 HD, and Sierra 3500 HD trucks, with notes for single rear wheel applications on certain years. Compare the existing lamp to the OE reference and the opposite-side part number 11-6223-00 to help verify the correct match.

Because bulbs are included, this replacement can simplify the repair process, but the vehicle should still be checked for connector condition, mounting points, and proper lamp alignment during installation.

Quality Assurance

TYC Regular lighting parts are built as replacement components for exterior vehicle lighting repairs. This assembly is intended to match the listed application details for fitment-focused replacement on compatible GMC Sierra models.
