Common Problems This Part Can Address

  • Cracked or clouded left headlight lens

  • Moisture intrusion caused by damaged housing or lens sealing
  • Restoring proper forward lighting after collision damage
  • Replacing a mismatched or aging halogen headlight on a Volkswagen Golf, GTI, or Jetta

Installation Notes and Tips

Verify halogen-type fog light equipment before ordering, since fitment is listed for vehicles with that configuration. Confirm the left-side application and compare the existing OE number or Partslink reference to part number 20-12686-00-9 before installation. Because hardware is not included, reuse existing mounting hardware as needed and test beam aim after installation.

Quality Assurance

This TYC headlight assembly is CAPA Certified and SAE/DOT compliant, supporting a standards-based replacement for the original left headlamp on select Volkswagen models.
