CK1463 is a Universal Air A/C compressor kit intended for select Taurus and Sable vehicles with the listed belt clearance and system configuration. The fitment notes identify the required hose assembly, fitting style, and refrigerant-system details, so this kit should be matched carefully to the vehicle’s existing HVAC setup. This part cross-references Monroe Shocks & Struts (e.g., 172286, 182286) for the same application.

What It Is Used For

• Replacing a worn or failed A/C compressor assembly
• Restoring refrigerant circulation in the HVAC system
• Addressing compressor noise, seizure, or loss of cooling output
• Matching a short compressor setup with the correct hose and fitting configuration

Installation Notes and Tips

Verify the vehicle’s belt clearance, hose assembly, and fitting style before installation. Confirm the refrigerant-system details listed in the fitment notes, especially for Mercury Sable applications with R-134a A/C systems. Compare the existing compressor and connections to the part number CK1463 and the listed interchange references before beginning service.
