Detailed Description

The US Motor Works US6220 water pump is a replacement cooling component for a wide range of Asian vehicles, including the Hyundai Sonata, Hyundai Tucson, Kia Optima, Kia Sportage, Kia Sorento, Kia Forte, Kia Rondo, Kia Magentis, and Mitsubishi Outlander. It is also listed for select Hyundai Santa Fe and Santa Fe Sport applications. This part number, US6220, is a practical choice when servicing a worn or leaking engine water pump on compatible vehicles.

By circulating coolant through the engine and radiator, the water pump helps maintain stable operating temperature. This replacement is listed for 2006-2019 model years across the covered applications, with fitment varying by make, model, and build details such as the 2014 Hyundai Tucson through 02/01/2014 and the 2014-2015 Kia Optima Korea-built vehicle.

What It Helps Address

• Coolant leakage from a failing water pump
• Overheating caused by reduced coolant circulation
• Noise from a worn pump bearing or impeller assembly
• Temperature fluctuations during normal driving
• Cooling-system service on high-mileage Hyundai Sonata and Kia Optima applications

Installation Notes and Tips

Verify engine code, build date, and vehicle configuration before ordering. This part includes installation sealing devices, but the rest of the cooling system should be inspected during replacement, including hoses, thermostat, belts, and coolant condition. Proper cleaning of the mounting surface helps support a leak-free installation.
