Walker 211-1124 Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor

Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor for Hyundai and Kia

Walker 211-1124 is an engine coolant temperature sensor built to deliver real-time coolant temperature data to the ECM. With a square female connector, 4 blade terminals, and a direct-fit sensor-only design, it supports accurate engine management on a wide range of Hyundai and Kia applications, including Hyundai Sonata, Tucson, Santa Fe, and Kia Optima, Sorento, and Sportage.

Sensor Line Details

Walker Sensor Only focuses on replacement sensors engineered to match OE resistance values, thermal response, and signal output. That means the ECM receives the temperature input it expects for fuel delivery, ignition timing, cold-start enrichment, and cooling fan operation. Part number 211-1124 is built with heat-resistant materials for constant exposure to coolant, vibration, and temperature swings.

• Engine coolant temperature sensor for ECM temperature input
• Square female connector with 4 blade terminals
• Direct-fit sensor-only replacement; wiring harness not included
• OE-style resistance values and signal output
• Heat-resistant construction for cooling system service

Detailed Description

Walker 211-1124 is used where the engine control module needs accurate coolant temperature feedback to manage drivability and emissions. On vehicles such as Hyundai Elantra N, Palisade, Kona N, Veloster N, Sonata, Tucson, Santa Fe, and Kia Telluride, Optima, Sorento, Sportage, and Sedona, a stable coolant temperature signal helps the ECM adjust fuel injection and fan strategy based on actual engine conditions. This part cross-references NTK EF0018 and Standard Ignition TX191 for the same application.

Common Issues This Sensor Can Address

• Check engine light related to coolant temperature signal faults
• Hard cold starts or extended warm-up behavior
• Incorrect cooling fan operation
• Rough idle or fuel mixture concerns tied to temperature input
• Temperature gauge or ECM data inconsistencies caused by a failing sensor

Installation Notes and Tips

Verify connector style, terminal count, and application before installation. This sensor uses a square female connector with blade terminals and does not include a wiring harness. Confirm the cooling system is at a safe temperature before removal, and inspect the connector and surrounding harness for corrosion or damage during service.

Quality Assurance

Walker Products engineers this sensor to OE specifications for resistance, thermal response, and output signal so it integrates with factory engine management systems. The durable construction is selected for long-term exposure to coolant and engine bay heat.
