Walker 225-1458 Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor

Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor Overview

Walker 225-1458 is a sensor-only fuel tank pressure sensor built for OE-style replacement in EVAP and fuel system diagnostics. It monitors pressure or vacuum inside the fuel tank or evaporative emissions system so the ECU can manage purge flow and leak detection accurately.

Compatible with a wide range of Chevrolet, GMC, Cadillac, Buick, and other GM vehicles, this sensor is used on applications such as the Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, and Cadillac Escalade. Walker Sensor Only parts are focused on direct-fit replacement for factory sensor locations.

Key Features

• OE replacement fuel tank pressure sensor for EVAP system monitoring
• Calibrated for pressure range, electrical output, and response accuracy
• High-temperature, fuel- and vapor-resistant construction
• Sealed electronics for harsh fuel system environments
• Blade terminals, 2-terminal layout, female connector, male terminals
• Rectangle connector with bolt-on mount for factory-style installation

Detailed Description

The Walker Sensor Only line is built for direct replacement of the original fuel tank pressure sensor used by the vehicle’s evaporative emissions system. Part number 225-1458 provides the ECU with the pressure data needed for leak detection, purge control, and emissions monitoring. This makes it a practical replacement when diagnosing EVAP faults on vehicles such as the Chevrolet Malibu, GMC Acadia, and Cadillac CTS.

This part cross-references Bosch 0261230161 and Standard Ignition AS500 for the same application.

Common Issues This Part Can Address

• Check engine light related to EVAP system faults
• Diagnostic trouble codes such as P0450, P0451, P0452, or P0453
• Incorrect fuel tank pressure readings during emissions testing
• Purge flow control problems caused by inaccurate sensor feedback
• Failed evaporative emissions inspection results

Installation Notes and Tips

Install the sensor in the factory location, which may be on the fuel pump module, top of the tank, or EVAP canister depending on the vehicle. Verify the rectangle connector, blade terminals, 2-terminal layout, and bolt-on mount before installation. Confirm fitment by year, make, and model for the exact application.
