Detailed Description

Walker 53993 is an exhaust muffler assembly engineered as a direct replacement for select Kia Soul models. The stainless steel body and muffler material help extend service life in demanding exhaust environments, while the reflection-style construction and offset flow path support proper exhaust routing. This part cross-references Walker Exhaust (e.g., 16646, 52589) for the same application. The 53993 part number is also useful when verifying the correct stainless OE-style muffler assembly during exhaust repair or replacement.

Common Issues It Can Address

• Rusted or perforated muffler housing
• Exhaust noise from a damaged internal muffler structure
• Restricted exhaust flow caused by deterioration
• Failed flange connection at the inlet
• Replacement needs after corrosion-related exhaust wear

Installation Notes and Tips

Confirm inlet and outlet configuration, flange style, and overall length before installation. This muffler assembly uses a 2-bolt welded flange inlet and offset inlet/outlet layout, so matching the existing exhaust routing is important. Verify fitment against the vehicle listing for the Kia Soul before ordering or installation. Part number 53993 should be matched to the exact exhaust application shown in the fitment data.

Quality Assurance

Walker Quiet-Flow SS is positioned as a stainless-steel OE-style replacement line for domestic and foreign vehicles, with construction intended to outlast typical aluminized mufflers.
