Detailed Description

The Walker Products 570-5001 EGR valve is engineered for vehicles that rely on controlled exhaust gas recirculation to reduce combustion temperatures and support emissions system function. Walker Products has supplied fuel system and engine management components since 1946, and its product development process is backed by in-house manufacturing, engineering, and technical support. This part number is used across multiple GM full-size truck, van, and passenger car applications, including Chevrolet C2500, GMC K3500, Cadillac DeVille, and Oldsmobile Aurora models.

Walker Products 570-5001 is a practical OE-style replacement for service work on 1995-2000 Chevrolet and GMC trucks and vans, as well as 1995-1999 Cadillac and Oldsmobile vehicles. It is also referenced by Delphi EG10021 and Standard Ignition EGV513 for the same application.

What It Helps Address

• EGR-related fault codes
• Rough idle caused by improper exhaust gas recirculation
• Emissions test failures tied to EGR system performance
• Driveability issues from restricted or sticking EGR operation
• Loss of engine efficiency related to exhaust flow control

Installation Notes and Tips

• Verify the vehicle year, make, model, and engine/emissions configuration before ordering.
• Inspect EGR passages, vacuum lines, electrical connectors, and related sensors during service.
• Clean carbon buildup from mating surfaces and intake passages before installing the replacement valve.
• Clear diagnostic trouble codes and confirm proper idle and throttle response after installation.
