What This Oil Filter Helps Address

• Routine oil contamination from normal engine operation
• Wear concerns during frequent stop-and-go driving
• Filtration demands from short-trip driving and cold starts
• Maintenance needs for vehicles used on dirt roads or job sites
• Oil service intervals specified by the OE manufacturer

Installation Notes and Tips

Verify the housing style and cap marking before ordering, especially on Chevrolet Trax, Sonic, Cruze, and Buick Encore applications that note a Hengst-marked housing and cap. Confirm the vehicle’s model year and follow the OE-recommended oil and filter change interval, typically 3,750 to 10,000 miles and not more than 12 months.

This part cross-references ACDelco PF2257G and FRAM CH10246 for the same application.

Quality Assurance

WIX cartridge oil filters are specified for use with conventional, synthetic, and synthetic-blended motor oils when recommended by the OE manufacturer. The filter media and cartridge construction are intended to support engine protection across normal and severe driving conditions within the vehicle maker’s service interval guidance.
