Zimmermann 600.3224.54 Disc Brake Rotor - Front Left

Overview

Zimmermann 600.3224.54 is a slotted disc brake rotor built for specific Volkswagen Touareg and Porsche Cayenne applications. It combines a high-carbon casting with a coated surface and grooved braking face for consistent braking performance in wet conditions.

This rotor is part of the Black Z range, which pairs a performance-oriented design with corrosion protection and a distinctive appearance. The 600.3224.54 is ECE R90 homologated and not subject to registration where that approval applies.

Key Features

• Slotted brake disc design helps clear brake dust and water from the braking surface.
• High-carbon machining supports stable braking characteristics under heat.
• Coated surface adds corrosion resistance and a cleaner finish.
• 330 mm outer diameter, 32 mm thickness, and 68.7 mm height.
• 6/5 hole arrangement with an 85 mm hub bore and 130 mm bolt circle.
• Zimmermann Black Z rotor construction for performance-focused brake service.

Detailed Description

Zimmermann 600.3224.54 is engineered as a front left disc brake rotor for Fits 2004-2018 Volkswagen Touareg, front left and Fits 2003-2010 Porsche Cayenne, front left applications listed in the fitment data. The slotted braking surface is intended to move water and brake dust away from the contact area, which supports more consistent wet-weather braking. The coated finish helps protect the rotor surface from corrosion, while the high-carbon construction adds thermal stability for demanding street use.

The Black Z line focuses on a functional upgrade with a more refined appearance. If you are replacing a worn rotor on a Volkswagen Touareg or Porsche Cayenne, 600.3224.54 provides the specified dimensions and mounting pattern for the listed applications. This part cross-references 600.3224.00 and 0 986 479 248 for the same application.

Common Issues This Rotor Can Address

• Brake pulsation caused by rotor wear or uneven surface condition.
• Reduced braking consistency in wet conditions.
• Corrosion on the rotor face or hat area.
• Noise from a worn or heat-affected brake disc.
• Service replacement for a rotor that has reached minimum thickness.

Installation Notes

Verify PR number and axle position before ordering, since fitment is limited to the listed front left applications. Confirm rotor dimensions, hub bore, bolt circle, and minimum thickness against the existing part before installation. Follow the vehicle manufacturer’s brake service procedures and inspect pads, caliper condition, and mounting surfaces during replacement.

Quality Assurance

Zimmermann developed the Black Z rotor line using brake rotor experience and track-informed engineering. This rotor is ECE R90 homologated, which supports regulated aftermarket brake replacement where that approval is recognized.
