Purchased this 2001 dodge stratus r/t coupe in july of 2009. August 2nd there are huge cracks in the dash and the defrost vents have disintegrated. Once the dash completely cracks it exposes wiring to the elements, which could cause arcing or a fire.....

Dash vinyl is separating or peeling off at the defrost vent from the dash. No known way to fix it. Will need replaced with a better design.

Dashboard continues to crack in several places. This raises safety concerns in terms of frontal impact and air bag deployment. Vehicle was never in a crash that would cause cracks. *jb
