Dealer maintained 90,000 miles check engine light came on , pulled over vehicle shut down and would not start. Had vehicle towed to dealership and was told the engine seized. Was advised this is not covered by warranty. Trying to work with bmw on this currently

The motor is leaking in a stationary setting , this is not wear and tear the bmw of montgomery stated they are recalls on the motor .

When starting a cold engine, a “plume of blue smoke†can be seen emitting from the exhaust tailpipe for approximately 10-20 seconds. There is no engine malfunction light illuminated (no†turbocharger boost faults are stored) and no drivability issues are detected.
