BMW has issued a recall with no resolution. My engine is making noises from the crankcase and no alternative has been offered at this moment. The dealer does not want to address the issue.

My 2001 bmw 330i stopped going in reverse last wednesday. Apparently, this is a known issue, as i was very suprised to see dozens of websites dedicated to this no reverse issue. How come there was no recall for this common failure? *kb

The interior wires of the bmw e46 headlight assemblies have insulation material that readily breaks off of the wire, causing the bear wire conductor to be visible. This results in a failure of the headlights as the wires conductors are allowed to touch. This is also a possible source of a vehicle fire.
