Bmw motorcycles 2008 k1200gt and 2000 r110rt. Consumer writes in regards to power train final drive failure. *tgw the consumer stated gear oil leaked onto the rear tire. *jb

Brake light came on after only 8000 miles. Motorcycle is adult driven, lightly used, regularly maintained and garaged. Bmw can do better than this.

Idle is erratic. Bikes idle jumps randomly and hangs up at a high rpm at idle or when shifting between gears. Bike has been in for repair five times now. Dealer has replaced the airbox and updated software to no avail. Bike is unsafe to ride in this condition. Problem is more pronounced at higher ambient temps. *jb
